Sven Plappert of BOKU , Vienna was the well deserved winner of the Advapor 2018 PhD award.
Sven’s excellent work on converting cellulose into a high performance aerogel offering both technological advances in this field as well as a new commercial opportunity for a sustainable aerogel product.
The award was presented on behalf of Advapor by Mike O’Connor & Barbara Milow , Falk Liebner who supervised Sven’s PhD was also present .
